Xapien has two different chat experiences, and they're designed for very different things. Using the right one will get you a faster, more useful answer.
Ask Xapien - for questions about a report
Ask Xapien is the AI assistant built into every completed report. Open it from the star icon or the Ask Xapien button in the top-right of a report.
Use it to ask questions about the subject of the report in front of you - for example:
"What financial crime risks were identified?"
"Summarise their business interests."
"Which sources support the Russia link?"
Every answer is grounded in the research Xapien has already collected for that specific report and includes inline source citations, so you can verify each claim by clicking through to the original evidence.
Ask Xapien only knows what's in the report in front of you.
It is scoped to a single report at a time and has no awareness of other reports, your account, or the Xapien product itself. You cannot get help from the Xapien support team through Ask Xapien - for product questions, account issues, or how-to help, use the Help widget instead.
For more details on how to use Ask Xapien, see: How to use Ask Xapien.
The Help widget - for support and how-to questions
The Help widget is Xapien's support channel. Open it by clicking on your initials in the bottom-left corner of the portal or a report.
Use it to:
Chat with the Help Centre AI agent about how to use Xapien
Search Help Centre articles and guides
Get in touch with the Xapien support team
Review previous conversations with the AI agent or support
View product updates and news from Xapien
The Help widget cannot see your reports.
It has no visibility of the subjects you've researched, the findings Xapien has generated, or any content inside a specific report. If you ask it something like "What did my report on Acme Ltd say about sanctions?", it won't be able to answer - that question belongs in Ask Xapien.
