The Timeline view gives you a new way into a report. Instead of reading section by section, you can see your subject's media coverage laid out over time - and spot at a glance when the key stories happened and what drove them.
To open it, click the Timeline tab in the left sidebar of your report.
Ways to view the data
The timeline offers an overview first, detail on demand approach, with two views:
Story view (default) - media coverage grouped into stories about common topics, giving you a single, simple view of the narratives that matter. Click on a story to expand it and see all the events that contribute to it.
All events - every event laid out individually in chronological order. Click on an event to see the broader story it belongs to, and the other events in that story.
How to filter data
You can filter the timeline by risk level, report section, or date range - and combine these to answer a specific question, such as viewing only the high-risk events in the Legal section.
The date range filter plots event activity over time, with bars indicating whether the coverage in each year contained risk. Spikes and clusters of coverage surface at a glance, making it easy to spot the busy periods in your subject's history and zoom straight in.
A guide to key stories, not a definitive record
The timeline is generated from web and media coverage about your subject, and it is deliberately curated - an at-a-glance view of the stories that matter, rather than a one-to-one copy of the report. The report remains the complete record.
Please note:
Timelines are only available for reports generated from 7 July 2026 onwards. Older reports will not display a Timeline tab.
Dates can be approximate where an exact date isn't available in the source, and events without a clear date may not appear on the timeline.
Structured data, such as corporate records, is not yet included on the timeline. Richer coverage is coming in a future update.
PDF export of the timeline is not yet available. This is coming in a future update.
